Summer Activities for Kids in North Texas

The sun is finally shining and summer activities for kids in North Texas are just around the corner.  Summertime can be such a fun and rejuvenating time for both parents and their kids.  We can get off the treadmill that we are on through the school year and have some fun and make some great memories.   Summer fun is universal and happens whether you are a two-parent home, one-parent home, transitioning to one or the other or a blended family.  If you are a divorced parent, I hope you’ve been reading our blog and gave your notice for your summer time with your kids, too!

Living in North Texas there are a lot of easy ways to get fun activity ideas to fill the summer time with your kids whether you like to read twitter, blogs or websites.   It was easy to find summer activities for kids in North Texas with a quick search on the internet.  I found some great people on Twitter, blogs and websites that talk about things going on in and around the Metroplex and North Texas.  In Denton County, we have so many great places, activities and things that are either close by or just a short drive away that you can plan some fun things, with a variety of costs and interests.

Here is a short list that I’ve put together of a few places to get you started finding activities for your kids and ideas throughout the summer and even some events that are coming up soon that sound like fun.

Activities and Events Coming Up Soon:

SummerFest on Lewisville Lake (this weekend, June 8th),
